Self-propelled motion in a viscous compressible fluid
In this paper we focus on an existence of a weak solution to a system describing a self-propelled motion of a single deformable body in a viscous compressible fluid which occupies a bounded domain in the 3 dimensional Euclidean space. The considered governing system for the fluid is the isentropic compressible Navier-Stokes equation. We prove an existence of a weak solution up to a collision.

In this paper we study the self-propelled motion of a single deformable body in a viscous compressible fluid which occupies whole 3-dimensional Euclidean space. The considered governing system for the fluid is the isentropic compressible Navier-Stokes equations. The main result of this paper is the existence of a weak solution on a time interval (0,+∞).
متن کاملImproved boundary conditions for viscous, reacting, compressible flows
Previous studies on physical boundary conditions for flame–boundary interactions of an ideal, multicomponent, compressible gas have neglected reactive source terms in their boundary condition treatments. By combining analyses of incompletely parabolic systems with those based on the hyperbolic Euler equations, a rational set of boundary conditions is determined to address this shortcoming. Acco...
متن کاملA Model Problem for the Motion of a Compressible, Viscous Fluid Flow with the No-Slip Boundary Condition
We consider the system of Navier-Stokes equations as a model of the motion of compressible, viscous, “pressureless” fluids in the domain Ω = R+ with the no-slip boundary condition. We construct a global in time regular weak solution, provided that the initial density, ρ0, is bounded and the magnitude of the initial velocity u0 is suitably restricted in the semi-norm ‖ √ ρ0(·)u0(·)‖L2(Ω) + ‖∇u0(...
متن کاملOn the Motion of a Viscous Compressible Radiative-Reacting Gas
A multidimensional model is introduced for the dynamic combustion of compressible, radiative and reactive gases. In the macroscopic description adopted here, the radiation is treated as a continuous field, taking into account both the wave (classical) and photonic (quantum) aspects associated with the gas [20, 36]. The model is formulated by the Navier-Stokes equations in Euler coordinates, whi...
